Judee Sill was a remarkable singer-songwriter who passed away in 1979. I wrote this song in honor of her and her music. In this song, Judee's "exceptional ordinary skills" refers to her songwriting, both her melodies, interesting creative intentions and her lyrics. Beautiful.

G. C D G
I’m looking at my world, seems I’m always looking up
C. D G
Sweet young girl upsets my coffee mug
C D Em
Rainbow stockings ginger honey combed hair
C D
She looks my way, sadly
C G
Singing “Love ain’t fair.”

G C. D G
She takes my hand, attracts me up our stairs
G C D G
She looks into my eyes, her eyes a vacant stare
G C D Em.
It seems she’s a statement of all my sad affairs
C. D
Truth be told
G
That’s my cross to bear

G. C. D G
Always spent my life, my life among the ruins

G C D
No lucky breaks, while playing my
G
jukebox tunes
G C D Em
Seems I've always made my moves too late
C. D
I’m pleasured by her treasures
C G
And forgiving my mistakes

D. Em C G
Please delight me, delight me with some care
D Em C G
Please excite me, excite if you dare
C G D
Fly me to the moon, Judee Sill
C D
Delight me if you will
C. D G
With your exceptional… extraordinary skills

G. C. D G
So, I grabbed coat and hat to get back on the road
C D G
She looks at me, like she’s about to fold
C D Em
It seems she’s a statement of all my sad affairs
C D. C G
Like watching myself tumble, down another flight of stares

D. Em C
Please delight me, delight me with some
G
care
D Em C G
Please excite me, excite if you dare
C G D
Fly me to the moon, Judee Sill
C D
Delight me if you will
C. D Em
With your exceptional… extraordinary skills
C D
Delight me if you will
C D
Please, delight me if you will
C. D G
With your exceptional… extraordinary skills
